The ingredients utilized are rarely used in common seasoning blends because of their cost, limited availability and unfamiliarity by American and European chefs.

A family of avid travelers and gourmands, the founders of Grandma Lu's™ have spent years experimenting with different spices and blends to create original products. Grandma Lu's™ Sichuan Seasoning, our first product, was inspired by the exotic cuisine of the Sichuan (sometimes spelled "Szechuan" or "Szechwan") region of China.

Our products are made entirely of natural ingredients, are non-irradiated and contain no MSG. Grandma Lu's™ only uses the highest quality spices, with peppercorns sourced directly from Sichuan. Many so-called "Szechuan" seasonings simply do not include real sichuan peppercorns. Our products are great for experimental cuisines and foodies will appreciate the high quality of spices used.

A portion of the profits of Grandma Lu's™ Spice Cabinet will be donated to rebuild schools in areas affected by earthquakes and other natural disasters.
